HUNTSVILLE — Following Hurricane Ian, Huntsville Utilities is sending electric operations personnel and equipment to assist with repairs and power restoration in response to a mutual aid request from the Orlando (Fla.) Utilities Commission.

Eight Huntsville Utilities line workers and four contractor crews from Sparks Energy will travel to Florida to assist with restoration.

As a member of the American Public Power Association’s Mutual Aid Network, Huntsville Utilities routinely responds to requests for assistance from other municipal utilities to help restore power after natural disasters and other catastrophic events.
