Infinity Labs expanding cyber security operations to Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE — An Ohio-based cyber security company is expanding to the Rocket City with the help of the city.

And the expansion plans include creating dozens of jobs.

Infinity Labs provides advanced research and engineering technical services to defense organizations and has an office in Huntsville. The company is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, with locations in 12 other states.

The Huntsville City Council approved a project development agreement Thursday with Infinity Labs that includes the creation of up to 59 high-paying jobs.

The project will have an economic impact of $7 million annually to the Huntsville economy, the city said.

Under the agreement, Huntsville will provide up to $150,000 in economic assistance to aid the company in workforce recruitment, potential workforce relocations and help offset costs associated with Infinity Labs’ expansion.

Infinity Labs, through a site selection process, identified Huntsville as the best location for expansion of its cyber security operations. The company plans equipment purchases and capital investments of about $500,000.

The city assistance will be provided as a reimbursement once the jobs have been created and filled by Dec. 31, 2028. The jobs will have an average annual salary of $110,000, excluding benefits, the city said.
