IronMountain Solutions donates another $100,000 for Kids to Love Cottage Community

Local technology solutions company IronMountain Solutions is giving Kids to Love’s Davidson Farms Cottage Community another big donation that will help pave the way for the girls who live there.

IronMountain Solutions has presented Kids to Love with a $100,000 donation for a road to access the Cottage Community, which is still under construction.

The five homes being built in the Farm’s Cottage Community will help girls who age out of foster care by giving them a place to live while they start careers or continue their education. The cottages’ location on the site of Davidson Farms will allow Kids to Love to continue to support them on their journeys to independence.

“We want to make sure girls who come to Davidson Farms are given everything they need to succeed in life,” said Kids to Love founder and CEO Lee Marshall. “Our Cottage Community will allow us to guide them a little longer, and this donation from IronMountain Solutions will help us give them their own safe and convenient entrance to their homes at Davidson Farms.”

IronMountain Solutions donated another $50,000 to the Cottage Community in February.

“Thanks to the vision of Kids to Love, I am honored to witness the future growth of the Cottage Community,” IronMountain Solutions president and CEO Hank Isenberg said. “My hope is that the program builds the path to success for these residents.”

A groundbreaking for the cottages took place in September 2020 and move-in dates are set for later this year. The cottage exteriors recently were painted, and a design team is starting work inside the homes.

As construction continues, Kids to Love is also preparing for its Denim & Diamonds event, which is scheduled for April 30 at The Jackson Center in Huntsville. The event is Kids to Love’s annual fundraiser for Davidson Farms and the Cottage Community. This year’s musical guest is Nashville country music duo The Springs. More information about tickets can be found at https://www.kidstolove.org/denim-diamonds.

Kids to Love is also taking donations to stock the cottages with items for the girls through the Kids to Love Click, Ship, & Give program. A link to shop for the items needed can be found on the Kids to Love website at https://www.kidstolove.org/click-ship-give.

Davidson Farms was licensed as a foster home for girls in 2017. Since then, 23 girls have experienced hope, healing and home there.

The Farm is one of many programs Kids to Love has to ensure foster children have the love and care they deserve. Kids to Love is a licensed child placing agency with the state of Alabama and also meets the needs of children and foster families for everything from emergency assistance to Christmas gifts.
