It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Limestone County

ATHENS — They’re decking the halls with boughs of holly and tinsel and all things Christmasy to bring the joy of the holidays throughout Limestone County.

And it all starts Thursday when the Athens Limestone County Tourism Association hosts the Athens-Limestone County Tinsel Trail tree-lighting ceremony.

Formerly called the North Pole Stroll, the new Tinsel Trail opens 6 p.m. at Athens Big Spring Memorial Park.

The grand unveiling and tree lighting ceremony features live entertainment, “Storytime with Santa” at 7 p.m. along with treats from Happi Pappi Beignets. The trail of beautifully decorated Christmas trees is open through Dec. 31.
