MADISON – It’s time to get into the “Groove.”

That’s right, the annual Sounds of Summer concert series, hosted by the Madison Arts Alliance, counts in Thursday at Homeplace Park on Shorter Street in downtown Madison.

The first performance of the season will feature local favorite Groove, playing from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Sounds of Summer series is a free, family-friendly event celebrating live music and community engagement.

“We’re thrilled to bring back this popular summer tradition,” said Madison Arts Alliance President Rosalie Holcombe. “It’s a great way to support local musicians, enjoy the outdoors, and come together as a community.”

Concerts will continue every other Thursday through July 10:

  • Thursday – Groove
  • June 12 – Fastback
  • June 26 – Calypso Vision
  • July 10 – The Zooks

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and enjoy the evening with friends and neighbors. Food trucks and vendors may also be present at select performances.

The concert series is made possible through the support of community sponsors including River Bank & Trust, The Offices at Spenryn, and Tim and Sharon Holcombe.
