WASHINGTON — A Huntsville small business is part of a team on a $1.425 billion contract, the Department of Defense announced.
KUOG is among several area businesses who received or are part of contracts awarded by the DoD.
- KUOG is part of a $1.425 billion multiple award, firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/
indefinite-quantity contract to provide logistical capabilities. The contract supports the six phases of the continuum of military operations in support of the geographic combatant command’s joint operations, coalition partners, and other federal agencies in setting and sustaining the theater through the following requirements: theater opening (includes reception, staging, onward-movement, and integration support; sustainment; theater distribution; and stability operations and Defense Support of Civil Authorities support. If the option period is exercised, the total estimated contract maximum could be up to $2.85 billion. The base period will begin in January and is expected to be completed by December 2029; if all options are exercised, the performance period will be completed by December 2034. - Torch Technologies of Huntsville was awarded a $7,741,480 contract modification for engineering services. The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.
- Raytheon was awarded an indefinite-delivery/
indefinite-quantity contract with cost, cost-plus-incentive-fee, and cost-plus-award-fee line items with a stated maximum value of $191,143,000. Under this contract, the contractor will support the Missile Defense System modeling and simulation efforts which include development and sustainment of radar models and the use of those models in events, including but not limited to, element development, including Army Navy/transportable radar surveillance and Control Model 2 and Sea-Based X-Band Radar radar development, flight test pre-mission testing, ground test, and warfighter exercises and training. The work will be performed in Huntsville; Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Woburn, Mass. The Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville is the contracting activity. - Cummings Aerospace of Huntsville has been awarded a $15 million modification to a contract for high-speed weapons research and development. This modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract from $9 million to $24 million. Work will be performed in Huntsville and Niceville, Fla., and is expected to be completed by June 13, 2026. The Air Force Research Laboratory at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity.
