Leadership Athens-Limestone application extended

(Leadership Athens Limestone contributed)

ATHENS – Leadership Athens-Limestone took the reins and extended the application deadline for its next cohort-based leadership class.

The extended deadline is Friday.

Leadership candidates must be available to participate in a monthly activity on the second Tuesday of every month from August through next May. Some activities may last all day, so applicants should get a commitment from employers to participate in the program.

And guess what is new this year?

A two-day ‘Kickoff Retreat’ at the Stricklin Hotel in Florence, Aug. 22-23.

Aimed at developing tomorrow’s community leaders, Leadership Athens-Limestone takes its members on a deep dive into the community and their part in it. Leadership will provide an in-depth view of community issues and introductions to people to build long-term collaborative partnerships.
