The much anticipated “Light Up the Night” event is set for Big Spring Park.

Friday’s annual gathering will feature live music and dancing, as well as breathtaking lighting displayed throughout the park.

“We’re thrilled to bring back Light Up the Night for our community this year,” said Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett. “It’s the perfect way to close out another successful Parks and Recreation Month and say ‘thank you’ to all those who have attended this year’s events.”

Attendees will also have the chance to take part in engaging games, work with glow-in-the-dark face paint, and watch “glow foam cannons” fire into the night.

Concessions will be available for purchase from food trucks located along Church Street and around Big Spring Park West.

The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. The first 100 children will receive special light-up party favors.
