Lockheed Martin facilities in Huntsville, Anniston, Troy working on $729.5M THAAD contract

HUNTSVILLE — Lockheed Martin Space was awarded a $211.7 million modification to a contract on work that is being performed at three Alabama sites.

The modification is for maintenance and sustainment for two Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Batteries for the United Arab Emirates.

A result of this modification increases the total value of the contract by $211,739,333 to $729,556,034.

The work will be performed through Oct. 31, 2027 in Huntsville, Anniston, and Troy, as well as in California, Texas and Arkansas.

The work includes providing logistics management, logistics product database, training, missile and ground repair and return, hardware/software development and sustainment, hardware in the loop, engineering services, missile field surveillance program, and country unique specialty engineering for the UAE.

The Missile Defense Agency on Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.
