HUNTSVILLE — With an open circuit court judge seat due to the retirement of Judge Karen Hall, the Madison County Judicial Commission will take applications next month to fill the vacancy. Hall is retiring at the end of the year.
The commission announced it will begin accepting applications Nov. 1. The applications may be obtained from Court Administrator Kim McKoy in Room 206 of the Madison County Courthouse.
The original completed application and four copies must be returned to the court administrator’s office no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 10. Completed applications will be forwarded to commission members as they are submitted.
The Judicial Commission will convene to interview applicants and conduct its vote Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. in Courtroom 1 of the Madison County Courthouse.
The nominee’s name will be submitted to Gov. Kay Ivey to make the appointment.
