Massey Services expands into Florence with Bohannon acquisition

A longtime Shoals pest control company has been acquired by a national company expanding its North Alabama presence.

Massey Services announced Wednesday it has acquired Bohannon Services, a family-owned Florence company that has served the Shoals for more than 50 years.

Founded in 1971, Bohannon provides residential pest management, termite protection, mosquito control and crawlspace services throughout northwest Alabama.

The acquisition gives Orlando-based Massey Services a foothold in the Florence market and marks its third North Alabama acquisition since June 2025.

“Bohannon Services has built its success through hard work, integrity and a commitment to their team members and their customers,” Massey Services President and CEO Tony Massey said. “Those same values have guided Massey Services since our founding, making this a natural fit for both organizations.”

Massey Services was founded in 1985 and serves more than 1 million customers in 10 states. The company has nearly 3,000 employees and 198 service centers.
