HUNTSVILLE — Contractors will close Mastin Lake Road just west of North Memorial Parkway tonight and Friday night to install drainage pipes.

The road will be closed in both directions each day from 8 p.m. until about 6 a.m. the following day.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Kenwood Drive to York Road to Memorial Parkway. No westbound through traffic will be allowed. However, left or right turns onto Memorial Parkway will be permitted.

Detour signs and message boards will direct traffic. Driveway access to Lowe’s and Redstone Federal Credit Union will remain open.

The work is part of a $34 million project to extend the North Memorial Parkway expressway and construct additional lanes, including a mainline overpass and access roads, at Mastin Lake Road.
