Meet Me at the Fountain: Annual Arts Alive festival in Florence’s Wilson Park

FLORENCE – The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts Volunteers will welcome artists from across the country to the annual Arts Alive festival next weekend in Wilson Park in downtown Florence.

The fun is May 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and May 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

This juried arts and fine crafts festival will feature a diverse array of national, regional, and local artists specializing in painting, stained glass, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, fiber art, woodwork, photography, and more.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists, purchase unique treasures, and enjoy a variety of food offerings.

Admission to the festival is free, making it a family friendly event that encourages community participation and support for the arts.

In addition to the outdoor art market in Wilson Park, the Arts Alive juried gallery exhibition will be on display at the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts from May 17 through June 26.

The annual Garden Party will take place 5:30 p.m. May 17 in the Kennedy-Douglass Sculpture Garden. There will be catering by Jill’s Sweet Memories with opportunities to visit with artists and friends, and honor the 2025 Arts Alive winners.

Arts Alive is a project of the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts Volunteers nonprofit organization. The goal is to bring art to the community and to raise funds for workshops and scholarships benefiting art teachers and students in northwest Alabama.
