Meet Miss Alabama for a good cause!

HUNTSVILLE — Miss Alabama Linsey Fincher will be the featured guest at the Alabama Federation of Women’s clubs du Midi Woman’s club Garden Party.  The event is raising money to support adults with special needs and will also include a Luncheon, Silent Auction & Fashion Show.

Garden Party co-chair Karol Kapustka says Miss Alabama will be available for autographs and photos.

“We are thrilled to have Miss Alabama attend and help us spotlight these four charities that have not always gotten a lot of attention,” said Kapustka.

Proceeds from the Garden Party will support 305 8th Street Home, Inside Out Studio, ESG/Special Camps and Next Step Farms.

The Alabama du Midi Woman’s Club is a federated service and volunteer nonprofit organization comprised of more than 125 women from Madison County communities that provides service and fundraising activities to support local charities.

Kapustka said the event is part of the President’s Project, “The Flowers of Tomorrow are from the Seeds We Plant Today. Creating a Better Tomorrow for Our Special Friends.”

In addition to supporting a great cause, Kapustka said attendees are in for a lovely time.

“We are excited to have a fashion show with Dillard’s and see the new spring fashions,” she said. “And there is such a wide variety of items available in the silent auction, there will be something for everyone!”

The Garden Party 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 25, at the Jackson Center.  Tickets are available for $50 per person or $400 for a table of 8. Sponsorships are also still available.

Kapustka said she hopes everyone can attend the event and show their support.

“We are looking forward to the community coming out for a lovely garden party to support these wonderful organizations and have a great time with us,” she said.
