Nominations winding down for Madison Visionary Awards

MADISON — A new year calls for new community recognitions!

Madison Visionary Partners is celebrating the Madison community’s Most Valuable People at the inaugural Madison Visionary Awards. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 20.

The event honors individuals who make the community a great place to work, live and play. It is also MVP’s signature fundraiser.

Awards will be presented to the Philanthropic Business of the Year, Community Volunteer of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, and Madison Visionary of the Year.

Madison Visionary Partners brings residents, business owners, nonprofits and local government together with resources that enrich the quality of life for the people of Madison.

The guidelines are:

  • The nominee must live and/or work in the City of Madison.
  • The nominee must demonstrate volunteerism that directly impacts the quality of life within the City of Madison.
  • Activities listed on the nomination form cannot be part of the nominee’s job description or duties, and cannot receive any monetary or personal benefits from their involvement.
  • The nominee must not be a current MVP board member.
  • The Youth Volunteer of the Year can be age 21 and under. If under 18, they must have a parent or guardian’s permission to participate.
  • Philanthropic Business of the Year does not have to be in Madison, but should demonstrate a direct impact on the City of Madison through giving and/or volunteerism. Please include a contact name of the business.
  • If selected as a finalist, the nominee must be willing to be profiled in the March issue of Madison Living magazine, as well as attend the awards luncheon March 30.
