The event featured over 15 aerial performers delivering nearly four hours of nonstop flight action, along with more than 55 vendors showcasing aviation exhibits, food, and merchandise. Families, aviation enthusiasts, and visitors from across the nation filled the airport grounds, making this one of the largest airshows held in North Alabama in over a decade.
“This year’s Airfest was a huge win for our community and for North Alabama’s growing aviation presence,” said Denice Marco, Marketing and Events Coordinator at Pryor Field Regional Airport. “The level of support from sponsors, businesses, and visitors shows how strongly people believe in what Pryor Field is doing for this region and the next generation of aviation professionals.”
Backed by more than $200,000 in sponsorships and $126,000 in ticket sales, Airfest represented a major collaborative investment between Pryor Field Airport Authority, local partners, and the aviation industry. The total cost of hosting the event was approximately $270,000, a significant contribution that returned strong value to the region.
$3.2 Million Regional Economic Impact
Using attendance data, vendor sales, payroll estimates, and visitor spending, the 2025 North Alabama Airfest generated more than $3.2 million in total economic activity across Limestone County, Decatur, and the Tennessee Valley.
Some key contributors included:
• 12,500 attendees spending money in the local market.
• Over 55 vendors generating thousands in sales, including some groups reaching more than $50,000 in sales while several others averaged more than $15,000 each.
• Thousands spent on lodging, fuel, and dining from visitors traveling from outside the area.
“The Airfest is not just the “Best Weekend in Alabama” for entertainment—it’s an economic engine,” said Adam Fox, CEO of the Pryor Field Airport Authority. “It brings business to local restaurants, hotels, and shops, supports jobs, and raises North Alabama’s profile as a destination for aviation and family-friendly events.”
