HUNTSVILLE – Darla Campbell and her daughter Jessica Fink spearheaded a grand opening celebration this past weekend for their first brick and mortar crafting vinyl shop.
The Vinyl Hub joined Junkabillies Antiques & Consignment and Legacy Events HSV in celebrating the opening in the shopping plaza on U.S. 72 between Ryland Pike and Jordan Road.
After several online businesses and more than 30 years in screen-printing, the family-owned small business is their first storefront.
Darla and her husband Dan, a former Disney artist, also own Dot-Tone Designs, an online screen-printing and embroidery company. He has been in the custom-printed apparel business for decades and has more than 1,400 clients around the world.
“We moved to Huntsville in 2019 and I saw an opportunity to start living my dream … then COVID hit, and my dreams went on hold,” Darla said. “But now, more than ever, I am excited to be serving our community and living my dream of owning my own storefront!”
Darla and Jessica opened the Vinyl Hub in April as Huntsville’s only Siser vinyl distributor.
“Siser vinyl products are consistent in terms of high quality, and they are safe for children,” Darla said. “Their EasyWeed products are truly easy to use and requires low application temperature and pressing time, which is great for heat-sensitive fabrics; plus they remain durable wash after wash.”
She said there are no supply chain or inventory issues and Siser is always coming out with new products.
“We also make quarterly contributions, based on sales, to Lifewater International and to Samaritan’s Purse animal and agricultural ministry,” Darla said. “It’s a small contribution to two great causes that we feel make a big difference.”
The Vinyl Hub carries all forms of adhesive vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, and glitter, as well as blanks for heat transfer and sublimation from tumblers to leather keychains.
