Now arriving at the Orion gate: Movies in the Meadow

The Artist's Meadown at the Orion Amphitheater (Orion Amphitheater contributed)

HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville International Airport is flying high and this time it is not because of air travel.

Instead, their feet are firmly set on the ground in sponsoring “Movies in the Meadow” at the Orion Amphitheater at MidCity District.

Set to begin at sundown on the artist’s meadow in front of the amphitheater, the free screenings debut Thursday with the 2020 movie, “Soul.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie begins at sundown. There will be themed concessions, cocktails, yard games, and family fun.

The schedule is:

  • July 20: “Muscle Shoals,” followed by “Jason Isbell: Running with Our Eyes Closed.”
  • Aug. 10: 1985 classic “The Goonies.”
