HUNTSVILLE — To help furloughed employees and other local families experiencing food insecurity, One Generation Away is hosting a food box distribution this weekend.
OneGenAway’s Mobile Pantry will be at the Calhoun Community College Huntsville Campus, 102 Wynn Drive, to distribute pre-boxed food Saturday from 9-11 am.

The OneGenAway Mobile Pantry offers fresh produce, dry goods, and more to anyone in need — no questions asked.
The organization is also looking for volunteers and organizations to help with the food distribution.

Founded by Chris and Elaine Whitney in Franklin, Tenn., OneGenAway rescues high-quality, surplus food from grocery stores, restaurants, farms, and caterers and redistributes that food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
The organization serves Middle Tennessee, North Alabama and the Florida panhandle. OneGenAway provides food through its Mobile Pantry and by distributing food among a network of partnering agencies, including schools, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, other food pantries, and more.
