(OurTown Podcast/Contributed, 256 Today)

256 Today is proud to present the Our Town Podcast. Check here every week for the latest episode from Troy Bye, North Alabama’s newest favorite son.

The Our Town Podcast showcases all that is good in North Alabama. Each week, guests are invited from business, sports, entertainment, education, the arts, and so much more to discuss all aspects of living and working in The 256.

Each of us has a story and each of us grew out of a circumstance. Are you ready to be inspired?
Guy Hardman is the Co-Founder of Rocket City Refugees (RCR), in which they started by helping an Afghan family begin a new life in 2021- safe and free from the oppression of the Taliban and other extremist groups that hunted them.
Rocket City Refugees was founded to bridge the gap between initial US Government support and total self reliance of our clients. They do this by leveraging public programs and private support to the best interests of our new neighbors.
They are expanding their program to include other legal and vetted refugees to the United States beyond just Afghans. The RCR seeks to grow and nurture our community of new Americans and show them what makes this country great.
