John Schmitt was raised in the Bay Area, became a Black Hawk helicopter pilot in the Army, received a master’s in microbiology and immunology from Vanderbilt, taught at West Point, and now resides in Our Town and is the executive director for AMIIC (Advanced Manufacturing Innovation and Integration Center).
