(OurTown Podcast/Contributed)

256 Today is proud to present the Our Town Podcast. Check here every week for the latest episode from Troy Bye, North Alabama’s newest favorite son.

The Our Town Podcast showcases all that is good in North Alabama. Each week guests are invited from business, sports, entertainment, education, the arts, and so much more to discuss all aspects of living and working in The 256.

Samantha “Sam I Am” Imker graces the airwaves of North Alabama as part of the morning “The Mojo Radio Show” at 104.3 WZYP and then hosting her own midday show on Nash Icon 93.3. She has come a long way in the radio business after starting as just a WZYP listener over a decade ago.
Sam shares a never-before-told story of winning a prize on the radio growing up in Michigan, receiving the prestigious John Philip Sousa Award as the top performer in her high school band, helping her father cope and then adjust to life without sight, meeting her wonderful husband and starting their family, and competing as a professional pool player.
Additionally, Sam I Am shares her success story through a WZYP promotion with the Huntsville Weight Loss Centers and then we finish the episode in playing the Quick 6 and Name That Tune, which spawned some impromptu Karaoke and, yes, she can sing!!
