Our Town Podcast: Thad Forester returns

(OurTown Podcast/Contributed)
256 Today is proud to present the Our Town Podcast. Check here every week for the latest episode from Troy Bye, North Alabama’s newest favorite son.
The Our Town Podcast showcases all that is good in North Alabama. Each week guests are invited from business, sports, entertainment, education, the arts, and so much more to discuss all aspects of living and working in The 256.
We bring back Thad Forester, a guest from one of the earlier OTP episodes.
Thad is from Haleyville and he and his family created the Mark Forester Foundation to honor his brother who was killed in action in Afghanistan.
Episode 5 of the podcast went into great detail on Mark’s story. Thad and Troy have been friends for years and this episode highlights that friendship.
Thad and Troy catch up on life in North Alabama, which features Thad turning the tables and asking several questions of Troy.
Troy talks about the various jobs he had in high school, his biggest regrets of early life, songs he despises and, he also talks to Thad about the second-degree burn he suffered late last year.
The episode concludes with Thad’s strong performance in Name that Tune.
