HUNTSVILLE — The Huntsville skyline will be the backdrop this weekend as Kids to Love hosts its annual Over the Edge fundraising event at the Regions Center downtown.
Dozens of Edgers will rappel down the side of the building to raise money for children in foster care, and the community is invited to join the celebration.
The event goes down Friday from 5-8 p.m. as the first participants rappel and the street comes alive with food trucks, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
On Saturday, the excitement rolls from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the Over the Edge Street Party. There will be games and crafts for kids, princess meet-and-greets, bath bomb painting, virtual rappel experiences, food trucks, coffee vendors, and more.
“Over the Edge is one of our most exciting events of the year because it brings the community together in such a unique way,” said Lee Marshall, founder and CEO of Kids to Love. “Whether you rappel or just come out for the street party, you’re helping us provide hope and healing to children in foster care.”
Each Edger has committed to raising funds to support Kids to Love programs and donations can be made directly to support their efforts.
