Hubert Family Farms, located North of Huntsville in New Market, has added hot air balloon rides to this year’s tulip season. The season only lasts for three to four weeks and is slated to begin March 12, dependent on North Alabama weather.

This is the second year the Hubert’s have opened their fields for a pick-your-own-tulip experience, and this season will be even bigger.

Owner Kaylee Hubert says weekends will feature live entertainment, food trucks, and Anna and Elsa will also be making an appearance on a couple of days. Hubert adds to keep an eye for more details on their March 26 event — the farm will be hosting a huge market from 1-4 pm with more than 50 local vendors.

Hubert says they have 382,000 tulips planted in every color imaginable on four acres of their family farm. The tulips are $2.50 per stem and after picking your selection, staff will cut and wrap your flowers for you to take home. Hubert’s Tulip Farm is open Monday – Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm and on Sunday, 12 pm – 5 pm. Day passes are available for $8, a season pass is $25, while kids 2-years-old and under get in free.
