Regions banking on growth, opens Town Madison location

MADISON — Calling it a smart move, Madison Mayor Paul Finley helped cut the ribbon Tuesday to a Regions bank office at Town Madison.

“We think it’s a smart move to be right here and we appreciate what you guys have done,” Finley said. “From a Madison city standpoint, our chamber stays incredibly busy. On behalf of our city council we are thrilled to have you here as another option for folks.

“Another year from now we will probably have another 15 or 20 ribbon-cuttings and the excitement will continue to grow. I can’t be any more proud of our city.”

The bank is near Redstone Arsenal Gate 7 and replaces Regions’ branches on Madison Boulevard and Redstone Arsenal.

“This new investment in one of the fastest growing areas of Madison, next to Redstone Arsenal, exemplifies Regions’ commitment to serving the Tennessee Valley,” said Sean Kelly, Huntsville market executive for Regions. “Banking is really a people business. Sometimes you just come into a branch for a transaction and other times you may come in wanting to talk about retirement or maybe a first time homeowner, maybe a child’s savings account.

“Regardless of the need, this branch is here to serve.”

During the ceremony, Regions officials presented a $5,000 grant to the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Alabama to support after-school programs.

“The Boys and Girls Clubs work with students every day to create greater opportunities for their success,” said Branch Manager Callie Givens. “We have been honored to support the club for years and look forward to enhancing our collaboration with the club in the future.”
