HUNTSVILLE — Last week at the Madison County Commission meeting, the Association of County Commissions of Alabama recognized two of Huntsville’s own.

Rep. Rex Reynolds (R-Huntsville), chairman of the House General Fund Committee, was thanked by ACCA for legislation supporting stormwater grants across the state.

Reynolds also oversaw the lower chamber’s authorization of $660 million in water, sewer, stormwater and broadband projects as a product of Alabama’s ARPA distribution this year.

Rep. James Lomax (R-Huntsville) was commended by ACCA for the bill he authored related to poll worker compensation. As signed by Gov. Kay Ivey, the law will increase pay to election poll workers by $50 per day for their service.
