HUNTSVILLE – Motorists on I-565 could face traffic delays two nights this week as Huntsville Utilities crews are replacing streetlights.

Tonight and Thursday, Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations will have rolling lane closures in the inside lane of westbound I-565 from Chapman Mountain to the Old Madison Pike overpass to continue its streetlight change-out project.

The closures will be 10 o’clock tonight to 5 a.m. Wednesday and 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible and plan alternate routes to minimize any inconvenience.

If alternate routes are not available, be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
