HUNTSVILLE – It was the first rocket capable of flying farther than his sleigh and Santa is making a stop to see his old rival Saturn V at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.

Santa will arrive at the Saturn V Hall of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Storytimes and photo opportunities with Santa take place at 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. in the National Geographic Theater.

Parlor Doughnuts and Cookie Fix will be on site with treats for sale.

Admission to the Davidson Center is $15 for the public and $5 for members, ages 2 and up. Regular general admission grants access to the entire Rocket Center including Storytime with Santa for an additional $5 each. Storytime tickets may be purchased at the ticket desk.

In addition to the special visitor from the North Pole, the Rocket Center is also hosting a Touch-a-Truck event in the Davidson Center parking lot until 3 p.m.

Touch-a-Truck is for kids and their families in which they explore giant trucks, earth movers, ambulances, drilling rigs, and other vehicles. HEMSI, Huntsville Fire Department, Huntsville Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Huntsville Utilities, and the WAFF weather team will be on site for that event.

Parking for Saturday’s activities is on site, with overflow parking available at Calhoun Community College across I-565 from the Rocket Center.
