HUNTSVILLE — Strong to severe storms are possible throughout the Tennessee Valley this afternoon into the evening hours, according to the National Weather Service Huntsville office.

The storms could bring “threats of frequent lightning, gusty to damaging winds, flooding due to heavy downpours, and hail,” the forecast said.

The office said the timing is not definite and urges people to continue to check for updates on it’s Facebook or X social platforms.

“Have multiple ways to get warnings and be sure to seek shelter indoors if you see lightning or hear thunder,” the office said.
