Snell promoted by Huntsville/Madison County CVB

HUNTSVILLE — Sharon Snell has been promoted to director of Community Engagement & Technology, the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau announced.

Starting her career in 1999 as a convention sales manager for the bureau, Snell most recently served as senior convention sales manager and technology network manager.

Snell’s new position will include creating and growing strategic partnerships, fostering an understanding of the benefits offered by the CVB, and increasing awareness of the economic impact of tourism and convention business, according to a news release from the bureau.

In addition to creating and overseeing a bureau Ambassador Program and an annual Community Engagement Plan, Snell will continue to manage the bureau’s technology systems.
