Space & Rocket Center to host job fair

HUNTSVILLE — If you want a job that’s out of this world, then come to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center this week.

The center is hosting a job fair Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for multiple full- and part-time positions. The job fair will be in the center’s education programs building. Hiring managers will be on site to conduct interviews throughout the job fair.

Positions include Space Camp counselor, with jobs beginning Oct. 8 and again Jan. 21. No prior knowledge of space history or technology is necessary for this position, which includes two weeks of paid training. Space Camp counselors lead campers from ages 7 to adults from all over the world in simulated astronaut experiences. 

Full-time positions include a cook supervisor and a human resources training and development specialist. Part-time positions are available in the following departments: nursing, custodial, audio-visual, guest services, banquet service, and security.
