Encore! ‘Star Player’ back at Music Hall of Fame

TUSCUMBIA — The Alabama Music Hall of Fame’s “Star Player” exhibit is coming back after its hiatus during COVID.

Tristen Gressett of Pell City will be the first performer featured in a ceremony today. The category was developed to showcase up and coming musical talent from the state.

Grissett was recently featured on the 20^th season of “American Idol.” Tristen sang “Piano Man” at his audition in Nashville. He was voted a unanimous “yes” to send him to Hollywood. Gressett made it to No. 6 before elimination.

Also known as “The Poet”, Grissett started playing guitar at the age of 14. He recently moved to Los Angeles to further his career in the music industry.
