MADISON — If a full house is any indication of enthusiasm, west Huntsville and Madison residents wasted no time having their first cuppa joe at the long-awaited opening of the Starbucks at Town Madison.
Rocket City Trash Pandas mascot Sprocket joined several representatives from the North Alabama district Friday to talk about Starbucks commitment to the community, their employee partners and military families.
“Starbucks has donated more than 4 million cups of coffee to military personnel around the world,” said military spouse and Starbucks partner, Maggie Belcher.
According to Shelby Signorelli, general manager of the new store, the Town Madison location will be opening a “military store” in the near future, heavy in patriotic décor to cater to patrons on nearby Redstone Arsenal.
“Starbucks has always been more than a coffee company and our mission rings true as we stand here today,” Signorelli said. “We foster relationships in the community and strive to be the first place you want to come from home, before work or after a baseball game and we hope to inspire and nurture the community here at this Town Madison location.”
Patrons were served a free cup of Starbucks 2023 Anniversary blend, a smoky and spicy Indonesian blend featuring beans from Sumatra, West Java and Sulawesi. Gift bags filled with Starbucks cups and goodies were also distributed to guests.
With a more contemporary glass-front design, an expanded prepping station, a double drive-thru and covered outdoor patio perfect for breezy spring days, Starbucks on Outfield Drive is a welcomed addition to the growing neighborhood.
