Storms predicted for Wednesday

HUNTSVILLE — It could be a wild Wednesday weather-wise.

The National Weather Service Huntsville office is calling for storms throughout the day, mainly this afternoon.

“Multiple rounds of storms are expected today with the highest chance of strong storms in the afternoon,” the office said. “Main threats with afternoon storms will include large hail, gusty to damaging winds and frequent lightning.”

The office said there is a greater threat for severe weather in central and southern Alabama.
