HUNTSVILLE – Suburban Propane Partners volunteers marked World Caring Day with a Huntsville Green Team beautification project Wednesday in northwest Huntsville.
The group cleaned areas of Winchester Road between Ortega Drive and Blue Spring Road. Huntsville is one of 10 initiatives across the nation, geared toward cleaning open spaces, beachfronts and parks.
The cleanups are part of the company’s Go Green with Suburban Propane initiative to transition to a sustainable energy future. It also supports investing in innovative solutions to pave the way to zero-carbon emissions, the company said.
“We are so proud of our employees who donate their time, effort and energies to make our communities cleaner and more vibrant, as part of our SuburbanCares and Go Green platforms,” said Nandini Sankara of Suburban Propane. “Their efforts are not only recognized on World Caring Day, but all year long as we undertake efforts across the nation.”
