HUNTSVILLE – With the continuing onslaught of cyber attacks threatening everyday life, Huntsville-based Summit 7 is launching a cybersecurity awareness campaign, “Keep Building, Huntsville.”
The initiative emphasizes Summit 7’s commitment to supporting the defense industry in Huntsville and highlights its critical role by securing the warfighter through advanced cybersecurity solutions, according to the company.
Huntsville has become one of America’s top cities for defense technology innovation, recently growing from the fourth-largest to the largest city in Alabama over the past decade. The aerospace and defense sector is the driving force behind Huntsville’s economic growth, fostering advancements that bolster the nation’s defensive superiority.
However, cyber attacks are a defining threat and Summit 7 helps provide cybersecurity services that protect the defense industry, which in turn drives economic growth and ensures national security, the company said.
“Summit 7 is honored to be part of Huntsville’s thriving defense community. Our mission is to protect the American Dream by securing our nation’s defense infrastructure,” said Scott Edwards, CEO of Summit 7. “With Huntsville’s rapid growth, it is essential to address cybersecurity challenges head-on, providing innovative solutions that secure our nation’s assets and support our warfighters.”
“Keep Building, Huntsville” aims to spotlight Huntsville’s dynamic growth in the defense sector and the critical need for robust cybersecurity measures. Summit 7’s solutions are designed to protect sensitive data and infrastructure, ensuring that the nation’s warfighters and defense contractors can operate securely and effectively.
The “Keep Building, Huntsville” campaign will feature community events, educational seminars, and partnerships with local businesses and defense contractors. These activities are designed to foster collaboration, raise awareness about cybersecurity best practices, and highlight the significant advancements being made in Huntsville’s defense sector.
As part of the campaign, Summit 7 will also launch a new digital resource hub, offering free webinars, white papers, and consultations to help defense contractors enhance their cybersecurity posture. The hub will serve as a central point for information and support, making advanced cybersecurity accessible to all members of the Huntsville defense community.
“We are committed to the growth and security of Huntsville’s defense industry,” Wright said. :Our ‘Keep Building, Huntsville’ campaign is about more than just protecting data; it’s about securing the foundation for future innovation and ensuring that our warfighters have the best possible support.”
