Team USA roster slots up for grabs at 2025 Paralympics Cycling Time Trial, event set for Cummings Research Park

HUNTSVILLE– The Rocket City will once again be the site of an athletic event expected to draw top athletes from across the United States thanks to a collaboration between U.S. Paralympics Cycling and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.

On March 29th, the 2025 U.S. Paralympics Cycling Time Trial is scheduled to take place at Cummings Research Park. The event will determine Team USA’s roster for the first two UCI Para-Cycling World Cup competitions of the 2025 season.

“We are so excited to return to Huntsville and to partner once again with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber,”  said Ian Lawless, Director of U.S. Paralympics Cycling.  “The city has become a hotbed for Para-cycling and has time and again welcomed our athletes and staff with top-notch events and unmatched hospitality. This event will be
the cornerstone as we look towards L.A. 2028, and we wouldn’t want to start that journey anywhere else.”

Erin Koshut, the Park’s executive director, was ecstatic about the competitors returning to Huntsville.

“We’re so excited to welcome the Para-cyclists back to Cummings Research Park to compete for the World Cup spots and represent Team USA,” said Koshut. “We absolutely loved seeing them race and medal in the Paris games and can’t wait to welcome these men and women back to the Rocket City.”

Prior to this year’s upcoming event, the city of Huntsville has already successfully hosted the 2021 and 2022 U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open and most recently held the first-ever domestic UCI Para-cycling World Cup in 2023. The city was also awarded the 2026 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships, which will  be the first Para-cycling world championships held in the U.S. since 2014.

The 2025 U.S. Paralympics Time Trial event is free and open to the public.
