Tennessee River bridges lane closures moved to Thursday night

DECATUR — Overnight lane closures on the I-65 Tennessee River bridges, originally slated for last Sunday, have been rescheduled to Thursday, the Alabama Department of Transportation announced.

Bridge rail and guardrail work will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday and conclude about 5 a.m. Friday

Motorists are advised to expect single-lane closures. Crews will work on the northbound bridge first, then shift operations to the southbound bridge.
