The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering receives $500,000 donation for new campus in CRP

The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) received a $500,000 donation from Huntsville’s Radiance Technologies, Inc. in support of the construction of ASCTE’s permanent campus at the corner of Wynn Drive and Bradford Drive in Cummings Research Park.

Construction is expected to be completed in time for students to begin the 2022 school year in the new facility.

“We are grateful for the investment and the support ASCTE continues to receive from our community and industry,” said ASCTE president Matt Massey. “Support from Radiance and other industry partners helps us provide a robust program to educate future industry professionals and leaders.”

Radiance CEO Bill Bailey said his company has an enduring legacy of ownership and technical excellence and they are delighted to make the investment.

“This investment honors the vision of our founders, Dr. George Clark and Mr. John Dennis,” said Bailey. “Their vision laid the foundation for our culture of employee-ownership and commitment to our communities.”

The donation comes on the heels of ASCTE’s Foundation Board sponsoring the 2022 Forces of Cyber Gala for Cyber Huntsville in recognition of the work happening in Cyber across the region and the positive impacts it has on the students.

At that event, Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle recognized ASCTE’s foundation vice president Pat Sullivan as a “Force in Cyber,” saying his leadership has been instrumental in the establishment of not only the school but also in the construction of the new state-of-the-art campus.
