The show goes on: Jazz in the Park moved to UAH due to inclement weather

HUNTSVILLE — Jazz in the Park, originally scheduled for Sunday in Huntsville’s Big Spring Park, has been moved to the University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Spragins Hall. The change of venue was made after inclement weather was forecast for the Tennessee Valley.

Organizers say the relocation will ensure the event runs on schedule and attendees will be comfortably accommodated.

“We appreciate our partners at UAH for working with us to quickly accommodate Sunday’s installment,” said Kenny Anderson, director of the city’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. “We look forward to a fantastic evening of smooth jazz music and appreciate the community’s understanding and flexibility.”

Spragins Hall offers bleacher-style seating, so there is no need to bring lawn chairs.

Nina Marie will open the show at 5 p.m., followed by Tony & The Kings at 6 p.m. Headliner JJ Sansaverino will take the stage at 7:30.
