Thompson Gray’s headquarters at Hays Farm in South Huntsville a ‘strategic investment’

HUNTSVILLE — In a move called “meaningful” and “personal,” Thompson Gray has opened its headquarters at Hays Farm in South Huntsville.

The relocation marks a milestone in the company’s continued growth and long-term commitment to its employees, mission, and the Huntsville region, the company said in a news release.

“This move reflects more than an address change,” said Thompson Gray President Todd Johnston. “It is a strategic investment in our people, our work, and our presence in a growing part of Huntsville.

“As a 100% employee-owned company, our success is shared, and this new space strengthens the foundation for our future.”

The company said the decision to relocate to Hays Farm underscores its focus on creating a workplace that supports employee well-being, operational efficiency, and sustained customer impact.

The move also aligns with the broader momentum in South Huntsville, where Hays Farm is quickly becoming a hub for forward-thinking businesses.

“This is a meaningful move for us,” said CEO Ron Gray. “My wife and I both grew up in South Huntsville, so returning here is personal. It is exciting to be part of this next chapter, not just for our company but for the community.”

The area’s mix of retail, green space, and proximity to Redstone Arsenal makes it an ideal home for a defense-focused company like Thompson Gray, the release said.

Thompson Gray, which has nearly 300 employees, continues to expand its capabilities in financial management, program support, logistics, and strategic operations.
