HUNTSVILLE — Motorists along North Memorial Parkway will make a little shift to right as they approach Mastin Lake Road.
The move to the newly constructed service roads will start around 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.
Weather-permitting, northbound and southbound traffic will shift to the service road. Traffic signals have been installed at the service road intersection with Mastin Lake Road. State troopers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
ALDOT advises motorists to expect brief traffic stoppages and other delays until about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The $34 million project will extend the Memorial Parkway expressway north of Mastin Lake Road. Now that the service roads are substantially complete, traffic must be moved from the mainline to allow construction of the overpass.
