MADISON — The bats – the wood kind – have been put away but bats – the winged kind – may be spotted this weekend at Toyota Field.
The Rocket City Trash Pandas are hosting their fifth annual Fall Festival and welcome all the ghosts and ghouls Saturday.
The festival will feature trick-or-treating with more than 30 vendors around the concourse, fall activities such as face painting, and a photo booth.
The night will conclude with a screening of the 1995 classic, “Casper,” on the videoboard.
“We have been doing this since 2020 and it is, more or less, our Halloween celebration,” said Josh Caray, director of broadcasting for the Trash Pandas. “It is a family-oriented event that allows the kiddos to trick-or-treat in a safe environment, then enjoy a movie afterward.”
Caray noted that the event has continued to gain popularity each year.
“We had over 2,000 people at last year’s festival so its grown consistently since its inception,” he said.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes.
Kids ages 12 and under get in free, and admission for adults is $10 per person. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for trick-or-treating, which will run until 7 p.m. The movie will start at 7:15, and guests can sit anywhere in the seats to enjoy the film. Field access will not be permitted.
Concessions will be available for purchase – no outside food or beverages are allowed inside Toyota Field.
Tickets are available online at //trashpandasbaseball.com/events or at the Wicks Family Foundation Box Office at Toyota Field.
