KENOSHA, Wis. — The UAH men’s cross country will take the national stage Saturday morning in the NCAA Division II National Championships.
The men’s 10K championship race on the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course is set for 11:15 a.m.
The Chargers are led by standout runner Ahmed Ibrahim, who has put together one of the most decorated seasons in program history.
This season, Ibrahim has been named Gulf South Conference Runner of the Week, the USTFCCCA Division II National Runner of the Week, and earned GSC Runner of the Year after winning the conference championship, setting a school record along the way.
The Chargers are one of four South Region teams advancing to the national meet, joining Embry-Riddle, Florida Southern, and Lee.
This year’s championship field features 34 teams, with qualification determined through regional finishes and at-large selections. The top three teams from each of the eight regions automatically advanced, accounting for 24 qualifying squads, while 10 additional teams were selected at-large. A minimum of 24 individual runners from across the nation also earned spots through automatic and at-large qualification.
