HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville International Airport is once again in the running for the USA Today Reader’s Choice best airport.
The airport won USA Today‘s 10Best Small Airport title contest in 2020 and was Newsweek‘s No. 1 Small Airport this year and 2024.
“We are honored to once again be recognized on a national level,” said CEO Butch Roberts. “This nomination is a reflection of the continued support from our community in the Tennessee Valley and surrounding areas.”

In its description of Huntsville International Airport, USA Today wrote, “Nestled between the Appalachian Mountains and the Tennessee River, Huntsville International Airport (HSV) is prized by travelers for its convenience and warm customer service. Delta, American, United, and Breeze provide nonstop service to 18 major destinations across the United States.
“HSV boasts amenities often found in bigger-city airports, including an on-site Four Points hotel, Starbucks, and a golf course, and smooth check-in and brief security lines are pleasant perks of being a smaller airport. HSV also reflects Huntsville’s roots as Rocket City USA, being the first commercial airport to receive spaceport status to land commercial space vehicles.”
