2023 Small Business Awards nominations deadline this week

HUNTSVILLE — Time is running out to nominate a business for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s 2023 Annual Small Business Awards.

In fact, the deadline is Friday.

Every year, the Chamber recognizes two outstanding individuals and more than a dozen small businesses for their hard work and dedication to their products/services and their customers. The annual event is in August at the Von Braun Center.

Nominations for the Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award should be an owner, CEO or president of a small business or organization that has operated in and served Madison County for a minimum of three years.

The nominee cannot have won the award previously nor can they have won Entrepreneur or Executive of the Year in the past 10 years.

Applicants for the Young Professional of the Year must have been continually employed in the Huntsville/Madison County metro area for a minimum of 3 years. They cannot have won the award previously and must be 40 years old or younger by September 28.

  • Minority-Owned Business of the Year
  • Nonprofit of the Year
  • Professional/Technical Services Business of the Year
  • Retailer of the Year
  • Veteran-Owned Business of the Year
  • Woman-Owned Business of the Year
