HUNTSVILLE — Realizing a dream, Huntsville father-son attorneys Tommy and Bart Siniard have founded a firm aptly named Siniard Law.
Tommy Siniard founded the law firm of Siniard, Timberlake, and League more than 30 years ago in Huntsville. His son, Bart, joined the firm nine years ago and, together, they have recovered more than $170 million for their clients in their careers.
Bart said it was emotional to be leaving the firm where he not only began his law career but spent so much of his childhood.
“At this building, I’ve gone from drawing in coloring books after school to watching my own child do the same exact thing,” he said. “I’ve done my third-grade multiplication tables at the office, and also wrote briefs for the Supreme Court.
“It’s provided almost three decades of good memories for me.”
The new firm is at 511 Madison Street in downtown Huntsville.
The elder Siniard said it was a dream come true for both of them.
“One of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done is start our new law firm with my son Bart,” Tommy said. “Today, Bart is my full partner in the firm we’ve now started, Siniard Law.”
Siniard Law is a full-service personal injury law firm handling cases that include vehicle wrecks, nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, products liability, insurance disputes, workers’ compensation, industrial accidents, and wrongful death.
Recalling a fifth-grade assignment that asked students what they wanted to be when they grew up, Bart said he wanted to be a personal injury lawyer like his dad.
“And when I got older, I wanted to start my own firm,” he said. “I’m thrilled to announce my predictions and dreams (have) come to full fruition”
Bart said the Siniard family name has come to be associated with proven results for their legal clients.
“We will continue to help injured people throughout the Tennessee Valley,” he said. “My father and I have tried to give back to the community throughout our careers.
“We’ve always tried to do right by people.”
Tommy Siniard has been selected by U.S News and World Report’s “Best Lawyers in America” for 26 consecutive years. His national accolades include selection by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Attorneys. Bart Siniard has been selected to the “Top 40 Under 40” by the National Trial Lawyers for the past two years. He is one of the youngest Alabama attorneys to obtain verdicts in Alabama state courts and in the federal court system as lead counsel.
