Alabama A&M signs MOU with Huntsville City Schools

HUNTSVILLE — Huntsville City Schools and Alabama A&M have signed a memorandum of understanding on dual enrollment partnership.

The MOU agreement signed Monday by Schools Superintendent Dr. Clarence Sutton and Alabama A&M President Dr. Daniel Wims allows eligible high school students to take first-level AAMU classes.

The classes count for high school and college credit and the student can skip those classes in college, saving a lot of time and money.

Not all students are eligible to take dual enrollment classes in high school. Dual enrollment students in Alabama must be at least grades 10, 11 or 12 and maintain a minimum GPA 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
