NORMAL — Alabama A&M has reaffirmed its Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International accreditation – an honor held by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide, the school announced.
This milestone reflects the university’s continued commitment to academic excellence, faculty achievement, and student success in a rapidly evolving global business landscape, according to a news release.
AACSB accreditation is recognized as the benchmark of quality in business education. The rigorous review process evaluates institutions on several key criteria, including faculty qualifications, curriculum relevance, student outcomes, and meaningful engagement with the business community.
Dr. Timothy Mantz, dean of the College of Business and Public Affairs, said the extension of the accreditation highlights its adherence to those high standards and its dedication to continuous improvement.
“This reaffirmation of our AACSB accreditation is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, students, staff, and supporters,” he said. “It validates our commitment to providing a high-quality, relevant business education that prepares our graduates for success in a global marketplace.”
Originally accredited in 2019, AAMU’s business programs have leveraged the AACSB framework to strengthen their academic offerings and expand opportunities for students.
The benefits of this accreditation are far-reaching, the news release said. Students gain access to a rigorous and innovative curriculum, increased mobility across AACSB-accredited institutions, and a degree recognized by employers around the world.
Faculty benefit from enhanced professional development opportunities and a culture of research-driven instruction, while the university gains prestige and visibility among peer institutions and business leaders.
The reaccreditation also reinforces the Uuniversity’s mission to produce career-ready graduates who are prepared to lead and innovate. Alabama A&M University’s business programs serve as a vital bridge between academic theory and industry practice, ensuring that students graduate with both the knowledge and the skills to thrive in the workplace, the news release said.
AACSB International, established in 1916, connects more than 1,700 organizations and over 950 accredited business schools across more than 70 countries and territories. Through its accreditation and development programs, the organization promotes excellence in teaching, learning, and research in business education worldwide.
